Ubi avis … ibi vadit

As we take our next step, let us remember the first peoples to walk this land.

Cairns Birders is a friendly group of people who enjoy watching birds around Cairns and Far North Queensland, from absolute beginners to seasoned birdwatchers.
We meet for a gentle walk every Tuesday morning at the Cairns Botanic Gardens, and head further afield on Sunday outings to wetlands, beaches and rainforest around the region.
Everyone is welcome and there’s no membership fee. Just bring your binoculars, a hat and some water, and come along.
Those joining in any outings/activities are expected to follow the ‘common space’ expectations and do so at their own risk. No trespassing on habitat or private property.
